This hugely successful event provided exceptional national networking opportunities and quality workshops for professionals within all sectors of the commercial real estate industry. Just a few of the prominent speakers included: Andrew Ross Sorkin, creater of Too Big to Fail; Norah O’Donnel, Chief White House Correspondent for CBS; Rose Rios, former US Treasurer; and Sheila Johnson, Co-founder of BET and President of the WNBA’s Washington Mystics. Next year’s Network Convention will be held in Chicago. CREW-IE members are urged to attend.

CREW-IE sponsor, Grubb & Ellis, was also a silver sponsor of the convention and represented by fourteen attendees. As shown, several got together for a dinner at Gracie’s Mandarin Restaurant in the National Harbor area of DC, including our own Sandie Smith (second from left). At Thursday evening’s festivities, Char Fortune with Grubb & Ellis in Atlanta was presented with a special Career Advancement for Women Award. As a member of CREW-Atlanta, in 2000 she co-chaired the creation of Leadership CREW - leadership classes with a total of 140 graduates through 2010.
